Morten Jensen appointed new Head of Newsec Advisory in Denmark

Morten Jensen has been deputy MD at Newsec Advisory in Denmark since 2015 and has previously held various leading positions within the real estate and financial industries. He has worked within the real estate sector since year 2000. Morten was also the Chairman of the Board for RICS Denmark 2011-2017. He is a Danish citizen, born 1973 and has an MSc in Business Economics and Auditing from Copenhagen Business School and became state authorized public accountant in 2006. He also has an Executive MBA from Henley Management College.

Newsec Property Outlook Spring 2019: (Co-)working 9 to 5 – is that the new way to make a living?

The total co-working stock in the Nordic and Baltic countries has grown by 36 percent from 2017 to 2018. Following this strong growth, the amount of co-working space will continue to increase by another 24 percent in 2019, up to 680,000 square meters. Co-working as a share of the total office stock will also continue to grow, from 1.5 percent in 2017 to about 2.5 percent in 2019. These figures are available in the latest issue of the Newsec Property Outlook.

Newsec advisor in largest office transaction ever in the Baltics

The S7 office complex consists of four buildings. Three of these building, with a total office space of 42.500 square meters gross leasable area, are part of the deal. The transaction of the first building, called DC PIER, takes place this week while the transaction of the second and third building will take place in Q2 and Q3 of 2019 respectively.

Foreign and especially inter-Nordic transactions have seen a significant increase in the Nordic countries in recent years, while the share of domestic transactions has decreased. For the first time, Nordic buyers are now larger than non-Nordic buyers, at 24 and 16 percent respectively. Swedish, Finnish, Norwegian, and Danish investors, that earlier tried their luck in Germany, the UK or Southeast Asia, have to a large extent concluded that there are advantages to keeping their money closer to home.
