Newsec appoints Kim Andersen as new MD in Denmark
Newsec Property Asset Management has made an agreement with a new Managing Director of the Danish division of the Nordic property asset manager. The new Managing Director, Kim Andersen, joins the company from a position as Vice President of the insurance company, If Skadeforsikring. As from 1 September 2021, Kim Andersen will lead the 575 employees based in Denmark and join the Nordic management team of Newsec.
Kim Andersen has experience from Nordic organisations and has been employed with If Skadeforsikring for the past seven years, most recently as Vice President, Head of Sales & Service, where he was in charge of a sales organisation with 300 employees. During his employment with If Skadeforsikring, he focused on digital transformation, business development, culture and strategic partnerships in particular.
“I am really pleased that we have found an empathic and entrepreneurial MD for Newsec, who has demonstrated that he is able to achieve results through motivated and happy employees. Kim has close to 20 years’ experience with collaborations in Nordic businesses and a strong track record in transforming business areas and organisations. In addition, he has experience from an industry which is also based on long-term customer relations and value creation. These qualities make Kim the perfect person to head up Newsec’s Danish division and to fulfil our ambitions of expanding in the Danish and Nordic markets,” says Björn Lindeborg, CEO of Newsec Property Asset Management.
Property management in rapid development
The 38-year-old new MD of Newsec in Denmark is looking forward to the next step in his career and to using his experience in a company and a sector in rapid development.

Newsec is an exciting company with a strong employee and culture focus and a strong customer offering driven by its wide range of services and solid market position. I look forward to helping strengthen our organisation and to creating an even more attractive place to work. I also hope that I can contribute to us gaining an even better understanding of our customers’ needs and leveraging our competencies and synergies across the Nordic markets,” says Kim Andersen, new MD of Newsec in Denmark. He continues:
“I am impressed by the current development in the property sector in terms of internationalisation and digitalisation. In many ways, it reminds me of my experience from the insurance sector. But I will take a humble approach to the job, while looking forward to realising Newsec’s potential in terms of creating value for our customers and providing them with new digital, automation and sustainability solutions.”
Kim Andersen will take up the position as Managing Director of Newsec Property Asset Management Denmark A/S on 1 September 2021, replacing Thomas Kempf who moved to Forenede Service A/S on 1 May 2021.
