About the case

Healthcare service company Terveystalo acquired control of Lääkäriasema Pulssi operating in Turku. Pulssi owned the premises they operated in. Owning properties is not the core business of Terveystalo and their strategy is to focus on providing high class healthcare services for their clients. Therefore the goal was to sell the property in question and sign a long-term lease agreement at the same time with the corporate acquisition. Newsec has a strong market knowledge and expertise in sale and leaseback projects and acted as advisor for Terveystalo already during the corporate transaction.

Newsec asked for bids from potential investors for the sale and leaseback arrangement. Newsec received several bids for the arrangement in which the property was sold and simultaneously a long-term lease agreement signed with Terveystalo.

The property was sold to Auratum Kiinteistöt Oy’s real estate equity fund AKR Aura and a long-term lease agreement was signed. Auratum Kiinteistöt Oy is a preferred partner as a local investor who knows the property well and is committed to develop the premises in the long-term together with the tenant.
