Autumn 2022
The total amount of real estate transactions in the first half of the year was 4.3 billion euros. This is the highest ever transaction volume in the first half of the year. The strong transaction activity was explained among others by the residential portfolio and public property deals. In the first half of the year, the market saw more megadeals of over 100 million euros than in any whole year before.
In the second half of 2022, economic uncertainty and the increased costs and availability of capital will slow down investment activity. In addition, the increase in financing costs creates yield decompression across segments. However, there is demand and real estate remains an attractive
asset class.
The second half of the year has already started well. Newsec's Property Outlook offers an overall view of the Finnish, Nordic and European real estate markets. This issue of the Finnish Property Outlook includes an outlook on the office of the new-era and the preparation for responsibility risks.
