Autumn 2021
The investment market got off to an active start in Finland in the spring, accelerating even more during the summer. In the second quarter of the year, the number of transactions was three times the number from the same period last year. By mid-September, the property transaction volume amounted to EUR 4.1 Billion.
The investor interest is currently focused on the residential market, logistics properties and the prime office market. Yet, retail is also notable segment, since it offers an interesting risk/profit profile in the investment market where the profit yield requirements for logistics and residential properties, for example, are constantly decreasing.
The trend towards shorter lease periods is gaining momentum in the commercial premises market. Another current phenomenon is subletting, of which especially start up and growth companies are interested since they have high demand for flexible premise solutions.
